nryn Posted May 20, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 20, 2007 it's a fine lens but for not much more money you can get the more recent ASPH version of this lens which is of course coded. The ASPH is much smaller and a bit lighter. I don't know of many who prefer the non-asph version to the newer asph version, though I do know a lot of people who prefer the f/2 version of the 28 to the 2.8. Ebay is crazy right now. Wait for the new asph elmarit 28 to stock and get that. You will have a small walk around lens that does not interfere with the viewfinder, and the ultron can come out in dim light. A perfect combination, for less than the cron 28 by itself.
