Hello guys!

Got my monochrome on thursday and since the Swedish railroad museum turned 100years this weekend I had a good oppurtunity to test it. First impressions are that it's just as good as the old monochrome but with the added features of the new plattform. I decided to pack my Vario-Elmar 80-200 f4 togetheter with the EVF to see how it works on the mono. Below are some samples taken yesterday and two movies from today. Most are straight from the camera or with just a touch up in lightroom since I don't trust the screen of my laptop (PC, ASUS). When I'm back (in two weeks, currently travelling) I'll try to show some postprocessed samples.

First one is with 80-200:

The theme was "the first 50 years of railroading in Sweden", meaning the time between 1856-1906. Really a lot of people where dressed up in different outfits from the time era. The steam locomotive was built by Sharp, Stewart & Co, Manchester, in 1876 for a private Swedish railroad (OFWJ). It is still in runable condition together with some others from that era (the oldest one dating from 1856).

Today I was back in Stockholm and visited the old steam ice breaker of St. Erik (built in 1915). She posseses the largest piston steam engine ever built in Sweden and with a power output of 2400Hp (three cylinder compound) it's really massive! Today she was steaming for the first time in years and you where allowed to visit the machine room where this video was shot (sorry, I'm quite terrible at shooting movies, but I wanted to try it and share with others interested and I had no tripod with me :)):

The video is shot with Carl Zeiss Biogon 21mm at f4

If someone is interested I'm more than happy to share also DNG-files, just drop me a note. All files above (and a few other samples, more will be added) can be found at my flickr:
