phovsho Posted May 19, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 19, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) My M8 arrives in a few hours. Now I have to decide which lense to give the shop to get Leica to code. I don't want to throw silly money at this, so any suggestions on which of these should be coded... 21/2.8 asph 28/2.0 asph 35/1.4 asph 50/1.0 (Noct) 50/2.0 75/1.4 I was thinking the 21, 28 and 35 definitely. Correct assumption? What about the longer lense? If I sent them all off, I won't having a thing for my planned European trip other than the Wate. Advertisement Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Hi phovsho, Take a look here Which lense to get coded.... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sean_reid Posted May 19, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 19, 2007 The first three are the most important ones to code if you're going to use IR-cut filters. Cheers, Sean
AGeoJO Posted May 19, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 19, 2007 Personally, I had the exact same WA lenses (21, 28, 35) lenses and my Nocti coded. I bought two new lenses, 50mm Summilux ASPH and 75mm Summicron ASPH that were already coded. The only lenses in my lineup that are not coded are my 90mm Summicron ASPH and 15mm CV.... stunsworth Posted May 19, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 19, 2007 Do Leica do the coding in New Zealand? The Nocti will definitely have to go back to Solms for coding even if they do.
