elansprint72 Posted May 18, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 18, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Years ago Tri-X was my weapon of choice (when I was not using Pan-F ), recently I've been experimenting with the digi-Tri-X look. For me the great thing about modern technology is that from a colour digi-shot, one can keep the original and do all kinds of stuff with derivatives....... often coming back to what I started of with. But hey, it's fun trying. Can't think of anything more boring than shooting film, getting someone else to scan it and then making excuses for the result. Actually that's not true; but it does not involve photography. Would be seriously interested in getting some critical feedback on this image. D2, btw. Advertisement Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Hi elansprint72, Take a look here Bamburgh Castle. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
azzo Posted May 18, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 18, 2007 Pete, I love the span and the way your eyes are nicely led into the image. Lovely light hitting the rocks setting off the silhoutted castle. Personally, I would have cropped slightly from the top, but that's a matter of taste. If you scroll up slowly, you'll see what I mean. It is lovely, rich with b&w tones and I would hang it on my wall if it were mine. Azzo
elansprint72 Posted May 20, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted May 20, 2007 Thanks Azzo, good suggestion about cropping. I really should have moved to the left into the water and perhaps shot from slightly lower- but I had a bad back:(
