jonnymoondog Posted May 6, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 6, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have an 59' M2 with a beautiful deep yellow patch, almost honey colored. Best M I've ever looked through. My 67' M4 on the other hand has a very pale yellow patch that, while reasonably bright, doesn't even come close to the M2. The edges are all solid, and I don't think it's dim enough to be defective. The camera is also extraordinarily clean and was Cla'd a little while ago. My M2 just seems to have a pretty special rangefinder. Anyone else have a similar experience, particularly with the M2 and M4?Thanks so muchJ

sjgslack Posted May 9, 2015 Share #2 Posted May 9, 2015 My M2 has a bit of a dim patch- perhaps in need of a clean. But it's lovely and yellow. Somebody once told me there was gold plate on them in some way to contrast with the blue hue of the rest of the finder.
