petard Posted February 25 Share #21 Posted February 25 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I had sent my M262 for service to Leica for the exact same issue that OP described. After 4 months wait I received the camera back only to find out the issue still persists. The repair description doesn't mentioned anything but service. Now I'm a bit at a loss on what to do. I will try to find another lens to test but could it be the case that the Leica service is that sloppy? Edited February 25 by petard
Advertisement Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Hi petard, Take a look here Rangefinder slightly off at infinity.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pippy Posted February 25 Share #22 Posted February 25 Do you have any Leica dealership near where you live? If so then take the camera in and explain the situation. Have the 'repair' chit with you. If not and the issue is the horizontal adjustment it can be done in about two minutes with a 2mm allen key... Philip.
petard Posted February 26 Share #23 Posted February 26 Thanks for the suggestion, i'll try that after testing with other lenses.
petard Posted February 28 Share #24 Posted February 28 (edited) I was able to test today with another lens and it focused fine to infinity. Against my initial assumption it's not the camera but the lens, I'm sending it in now for CLA. Still curious how the lens could loose adjustment over time, initially it worked fine on the camera.
