Just updated the OS on my Mac and much to my surprise, Photos has arrived!  The folks at Apple really like dates and faces and may or may not be concerned about how you had your albums arranged.  If you store your photos on an external drive, insure all of the albums have names and any new work make sure it is on the drive.  You can go through the old iPhoto folders and you may have to make new albums.  Good luck to all!

I don`t seem to be able to find where to edit, you know lighten, darken, sharpen dodge.

I will take Picos advice.

The only contact I have with Photos is when I insert an SD card in the computer's slot, Photos launches automatically, eagerly, anticipating being "fed". iPhoto did not do this, or more likely (I don't recall) could be configured not to launch. I don't see any Preferences control in Photos that would prevent launching upon card insertion. So I'm inclined to do as Pico said, as well!

Where is my delete button so I can be rid of it.

Same with the window that keeps trying to get me to sign up for CC.  Damn this keeps poping up.   I use PS  CC, Bridge CC.  I have no need to complicate my life with LR or Cloud.  There I said it.

I may have to register for cloud, add one photo and pray it leaves me alone.
