Hi There

I also bought a 90 macro new recently - which backfocused badly.

I sent it to Leica UK, who agreed, but said they couldn't adjust it, so it was sent back to Solms. I got it back last week - but I'm still not totally convinced. More testing required!

 

I have found the lens hood fiddly, but it's so small and neat.

Jono . I go from right to left to lock it in and make sure it is locked in. I never read the manual on it and at first i was totally confused but extending it out i go counter clockwise and lock in. Not sure this is even correct but it works

Try this. Very high flair situation - this lens' resistance to veiling flare is about average.
