pstanko Posted April 17, 2015 Share #1 Posted April 17, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Question to the staffs or Leica moderators: I have a question about the compatibility of lens.I have a LEICA Digilux 3 with lens LEICA D VARIO-ELMARIT 1: 2.8-3.3 / 14-50 mm ASPH Mount "Four Thirds Mount" (lens with autofocus and stabilizer) of the highest quality. Is technically (theoretically) can we imagine to mount this lens on the Leica T body (even without autofocus)? Is there an adapter for Leica T for use of the LEICA D VARIO-ELMARIT lens 1: 2.8-3.3 / 14-50 mm ASPH Mount "Four Thirds Mount"? Advertisement Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Hi pstanko, Take a look here Lens compatibility for T: LEICA D VARIO-ELMARIT 1 :2,8-3,3/14-50 mm ASPH Monture : « Four Thirds Mount ». I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dkCambridgeshire Posted April 17, 2015 Share #2 Posted April 17, 2015 No adaptor available - and the smaller 4/3 format is incompatible with the T's APS-C format - so the LEICA D VARIO-ELMARIT 1: 2.8-3.3 / 14-50 mm ASPH would result in a vignetted image on the T . If you want to use a T with a non-T lens have a look at the "Novoflex Adapter Finder" tool on the Novoflex website where suitable manual focus legacy lenses are listed ... or use Leica M lenses with the T's Leica M adaptor If you want to use the LEICA D VARIO-ELMARIT 1: 2.8-3.3 / 14-50 mm ASPH with another camera it is compatible with any Olympus 4/3 camera … or any Panasonic or Olympus Micro 4/3 cameras via a 4/3 to M4/3 adaptor. I use the lens with an Olympus E5 camera. dunk
