bradreiman Posted May 17, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted May 17, 2007 weird. it seems making camera reviews is big business these days.
carstenw Posted May 17, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted May 17, 2007 I am hoping that all Amazon will do is to replace the many purchase-links at the bottom with a single Amazon link, and perhaps inject a little cash to improve the navigation of the site. stunsworth Posted May 17, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted May 17, 2007 Especially if you happen to be selling the models getting the best reviews. Â Suppose Canon owned AP, would Nikons get a fair crack at the whip?
TonySx Posted May 17, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted May 17, 2007 I've viewed DPReview for a number of years now and have been impressed by the lack of bias in their reviews. But lately there haven't been many reviews so one third of its title is now a bit misleading. Here's hoping they get back to reviewing!
Mark Antony Posted May 17, 2007 Share #6  Posted May 17, 2007 Yes I'd noticed the lack of reviews, something that might change now that the site is owned by Amazon rather than a one man band.  I think that Mr Askey has done a great job, probably has taken it as far as he could and his funds would allow (I remember him saying in some cases he had to buy review cameras)  I hope that Amazon will preserve the neutrality of the reviews if not then the site will suffer, and less people will go there. just my 2¢ mark
