Ulrik Posted April 22, 2015 Share #62 Posted April 22, 2015 Is there a way to follow sections of this forum via RSS feed? I would like to follow the Leica M forum as I did before but the selection of options shown when clicking on the RSS-button appears not be mature yet. A miller Posted April 23, 2015 Share #63 Posted April 23, 2015 Random comment: while the "thank you"s are now much more transparent due to the instant notification ability, they are more conspicuous on the actual site (off to the extreme right and in small font). This inconsistency is a bit annoying.
DigitalHeMan Posted April 24, 2015 Share #64 Posted April 24, 2015 Has anyone using Tapatalk with the new forum managed to get search to work? It seems to the ages to think about it, and finally comes back with a 'no topics found' message, even for single word searches.

andybarton Posted April 25, 2015 Share #66 Posted April 25, 2015 To be fair, one can only respond to questions when one has knowledge of the answers. I use neither RSS nor Tapatalk, so personally cannot comment.
otto.f Posted April 25, 2015 Share #67 Posted April 25, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) And there's also nobody who knows how to unsubcribe from threads (called topics now), as was possible in the old version?
pop Posted April 25, 2015 Author Share #68 Posted April 25, 2015 And there's also nobody who knows how to unsubcribe from threads (called topics now), as was possible in the old version? What used to be called "subscribing" is now "following". Hence, to stop following a thread, you "unfollow" it. Welcome, dear visitor! It seems to the ages to think about it, and finally comes back with a 'no topics found' message, even for single word searches. I stopped using Tapatalk with the new forum software as it does not offer a sufficient number of advantages over the mobile version of the forum itself. I have various Android devices, all of which appear to be running different Tapatalk versions, none of which can be said to work properly.
pop Posted April 25, 2015 Author Share #70 Posted April 25, 2015 Is there a way to follow sections of this forum via RSS feed? I would like to follow the Leica M forum as I did before but the selection of options shown when clicking on the RSS-button appears not be mature yet. I have not been able to get any kind of RSS feed on the forum sections. However, this is not saying much as I am not an experienced RSS user, but I appear to get some feeds out of the sources accessible through the icon on the bottom left hand side of this page. As the notification options offered by the new software can be extensively tailored, you might want to look at these. You reach them by selecting "My Settings", then "notification options" on the page that follows. Welcome, dear visitor! Peter H Posted April 26, 2015 Share #78 Posted April 26, 2015 I'm still failing to get the search function to respond. I hope it's something that can be corrected soon, because recourse to many years' of valuable input from members is the main reason why Premium Membership is such good value, but without a search function it is terribly difficult, if not frequently impossible to find the information that I know is there. Is this a problem that is being investigated? It is by far the biggest issue I have with the new forum, most of which is very nice indeed despite the inevitable teething problems. andybarton Posted April 26, 2015 Share #79 Posted April 26, 2015 I have reported this to Andreas. But, I have also just done a search for "Chester". You need to tell the software where you want it to search, from a drop down list, as so Welcome, dear visitor! Peter H Posted April 26, 2015 Share #80 Posted April 26, 2015 Thanks Andy, but I've tried that. The problem I'm experiencing is that when I click on the search icon, (the magnifying glass) nothing happens other than it starts to load something then seizes up before anything is visible, and eventually I get a message saying the server isn't responding, or words to that effect. I've tried it countless times now over many days. At first I thought it may be my relatively slow connection, but everything else works perfectly. Thanks for reporting it. We'll see what happens in due course.
