Jarr Posted March 30, 2015 Share #1 Â Posted March 30, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is it possible to create pre sets on the Leica T? How? Â If not I think it should be nice if it where made possible with a next firm update. Â When I want to switch from fully manual (shutter, aperture and manual focus) to fully automatic or back I have to use two menus on the Leica T. Would nice to switch faster. bernie.lcf Posted March 31, 2015 Share #2 Â Posted March 31, 2015 Leica T User Manual (German / English) page 194 Â "User Profiles" Â On the Leica T, any combination of menu settings can be permanently stored, e.g. so that they can be retrieved quickly and easily at any time for recurring situations / subjects. A total of three memory slots are available for these combinations. Of course, you can reset all menu options to the factory default settings. spylaw4 Posted March 31, 2015 Share #4 Â Posted March 31, 2015 unfortunately you cannot name them .... so you will have to remember which is which .... Â Indeed! Â It would IMO be a simple matter (?) to permit naming. After all, there is already a full list of alpha-numeric symbols in the T memory for use in wi-fi network naming. So could this be the basis? Jarr Posted April 2, 2015 Author Share #5 Â Posted April 2, 2015 The user profile is something I tried. It mainly lets you set the menu and file formats, but it scares the hell out of me. It is indeed not clear which is which because you can't name them and before you know it you deleted your profiles and have to set your menu again. Â With pre-sets I mean how you set the Leica T for specific ways of shooting in your personal preference.
bernie.lcf Posted April 2, 2015 Share #6 Â Posted April 2, 2015 Well, the profiles let you save anything that you set in the menus - i.e. the current state of your camera. Â The naming - well, yes. I suppose this would be useful. I guess, I never wasted a thought on this because on my Nikon I have "U1 and U2" on the dial (as they are on a dial, there is no custom name) and I don't usually need more than two profiles... joelbartlett Posted May 1, 2015 Share #7 Â Posted May 1, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) One annoying behavior with the current camera firmware, 1.310, is that if you select the default profile in the camera profiles, it will delete your custom profiles. The camera did not do this is earlier versions of the firmware.
