sean_reid Posted May 16, 2007 Share #21 Posted May 16, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sean,Did you test the 21/4 against the wate code as well and decided the elmarit correction was better? - C Hi Carl, Not yet. The WATE code in the "on" position applies a general correction regardless of actual focal length set on the lens (hence no EXIF listing of focal length either with this system). I would bet that its optimized for 18 mm. The "On + UV/IR" setting might work well for the CV 21 with filter. It's on my list of things to test. Cheers, Sean

bradreiman Posted May 16, 2007 Author Share #22 Posted May 16, 2007 sean and carl- i used the wate code because i already have an adapter coded for cv 15. not a great code for this lens. next time i'll try the one sean recommended. all the shots were useable with a liitle cropping of the edges. im really loving having the filters now as it allows me to do color work with much less apprehension..b
Eikonphoto Posted May 16, 2007 Share #23 Posted May 16, 2007 Karen, is the metal of the lens mount clean and shiny? Older mounts may show black instead of white, unless cleaned. Also, is there a screwhole in the way? I had to fill one hole on my 75 Lux with whiteout to be able to code it. It is also crucial to use a pen with non-reflective ink. Is yours a Sharpie or an Edding 8400? If not, try one of those two. Check and re-check the locations of your marks. A slight error can make a big difference. Carsten I made sure the lens mount was clean, and there is no screw in the way. I just dropped my 35 summicron, and now it's very stiff at the close focus. I don't know if there is a way to adjust it back to it's smooth focus, or whether I need to send it to be fixed. I'm more than a bit fed up, a glass of wine is the only answer.
