Hans Roggen Posted May 14, 2007 Share #1  Posted May 14, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I can't seem to find one and my dealer tells me almost two months after I ordered one that Leica doesn't supply them anymore, so my hopes are on you, fellow Leica Forum Members: does anyone have a spare lens hood for the elmarit-m 21mm pre ASPH E60? Please PM or mail me. I'm sure we can settle on a price. Or does anyone know what other hood i could use?  Thanks a lot  Hans
Advertisement Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Hi Hans Roggen, Take a look here Spare 21mm elmarit M hood anyone?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
guidomo Posted May 14, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted May 14, 2007 I do not have one but a comment nonetheless (from my own experience): for the pre-ASPH E60 model there were actually two different kinds of hood mounts made. Yes, both are E60. With the first one the lens will have two pins sticking out whereas the second incarnation will need a hood with two clips which you press to mount the hood. Â So, if you are looking for a hood you first need to figure out which version of lens you have. Â I think I have seen a used clip-on hood in a store here in Hong Kong for HK$500. Hans Roggen Posted May 14, 2007 Author Share #3 Â Posted May 14, 2007 I think I need the clip-on one, because there are no pins sticking out of the lens like on my 28 mm. So that is about 47 euro's, right? :-) Â Thanks for your help. Â Hans

Still I wonder what you are going to use the thing for. It is as close to totally ineffective that a lens hood can be. I never use it.  The sceptical old man from the Age of the Derby Hat Lens shade

Hans Roggen Posted May 14, 2007 Author Share #7 Â Posted May 14, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just ordered it. Should have it by wednesday. Â Lars, i keep my lenses front down in my bag. I hate removing lenscaps and putting them back on. With a lenshood attached the frontlens (or the IR filter) keeps from getting scratched. Â Thanks for your help guys!
