Yes I understand that, but it will be possible to send it back for a repair, so should be easily resolved - provided you can live without the camera for a short while. David Afia Posted November 3, 2021 Share #24 Posted November 3, 2021 Bought my (first Leica) Vario last week, the latch broke, and so it went back to the supplier in the UK. (MPB, exemplary service, by the way). I replaced it with a CL, but was shocked to find that the user setup was, after the simplicity of the XV, fussy and complicated. Knowing that I would, given enough time, master the dials, buttons and menu - I despaired, and have arranged to send the CL back also. So - the XV is unmatched in its simplicity, but - can I live with a Leica - a Leica ! with its plastic and vulnerable battery cover? Isn't perfection elusive...
