Not sure what this thread is about, but the Audi cooperation I believe started with Leica inviting Walter de Silva (head of Audi design group) to do an M9 special edition. Later, Jonathan Ive of Apple Computer was asked to do a one off camera for charity.

Of course, both Audi and Apple also have extensive experience working with Aluminium... perhaps more than any other company (experience that goes beyond making aluminium cans). We can see the results in the Leica T and the Summarit line of lenses (f2.4) where Aluminium is used instead of chromed brass.

Asking external star designers and design companies is very common thing to do and well documented online and in various specialty magazines and books.

Still trying to figure out how the Leica T 'snap case' ever reached the production stage.

It doesn't suit our working style, but it fits the concept. The battery is good for >400 shots and file transfer via wifi is the best I have seen in any camera (plus: the camera comes with 16Gb built-in)

The only time you would take off the snap case is for changing batteries. Now, I do understand that some of us go through a couple of batteries per day (myself included), but this is a) not exactly the typical T user and B) there is a better suited halfcase for us.
