Hi I have 2 questions regarding tethering.

1.Have anyone try to tether from M9 to an iPad? Wireless or cable?

2. M9 has an USB 2.0 port, does that mean I can connect M9 and my Mac with any USB 2.0 cable to tether the photo from M9 to Mac?

Thank you

So, no one has a solution for tethering with an M9 (or Monochrome)? I'd like to kick this thread alive because I'm experimenting with "scanning" using a  Leitz BEOON copy stand — and tethering to a Mac would be a useful way to do this.

Apple Aperture works perfectly with the M9. It's the best solution and very stable - Too bad apple dropped it.

You can also use the inbuilt "Image Capture" app in OS X. Then create a hot folder in Capture One or Lightroom. But its slow to operate in this way, taking 10 seconds or more to get to lightroom.

You can use an iPad if you want to use the eyeFi card, but it's unstable. It can work with the baseplate attached, if the iPad is very close, but it works better if you remove the base plate, and push in the pin that makes the camera think it's attached.

Looks like the best thing for testing the BEOON digitalization setup is to use Aperture 3.6, which works with Mac OS 10.11.x. Once I have the BEOON working well with the Focotar II lens (which is what I'll be testing), I can simply use a USB connection to get pictures transferred easily from the M9 to my computer — no need for real tethering at that stage.
