Lenshacker Posted January 20, 2015 Share #2 Posted January 20, 2015 The Fotodiox adapter allow you to mount a lens to the camera, but does not provide coupling to the rangefinder mechanism. Canon 50/1.4 FL Canon 50/1.4, now RF Coupled M Monochrom with Canon 50/1.4 FL mount This is a Canon 50/1.4 FL Mount now with an RF coupling for the Leica. The Tubes are Made from an old leg of a tripod. Pipe cutter, polish down for the correct thickness. The same can be done for the M42 mount lens. It works with 50mm lenses as the Cam moves 1:1 with the focus of the lens, most SLR lenses are made to the Leica 51.6mm spec.

veraikon Posted January 21, 2015 Share #4 Posted January 21, 2015 On the M8 the "uncoupled" adapters are good for lenses <25mm , which can good focused by hyperfocal distances. Long long ago (10 years?) Stephen G offered coupled adapters - they were expensive and I don´t think that they are still in production.
