alexanderruas Posted May 12, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 12, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there, I just got my M8 and have started shooting. Normally for work I use my Canon 5D & Mamaiya ZD and use Adobe Photoshop CS2 & Bridge to browse, label, organize my files. With the M8 I recieved the C1 software. Do you all use this? What would the advantage be over Adobe? thanks, alexander
Advertisement Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 Hi alexanderruas, Take a look here M8 files & Photoshop CS2 (or 3)?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Shootist Posted May 13, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 13, 2007 I have C1 LE loaded on my system and have used it a few times, before I got filters for my lenses and had Magenta problems, but I very rarely ever open it anymore. I did update to PS CS3 from CS2 and use Bridge/ARC for DNG editing. Used CS2 bridge/ARC before I got the CS3 update. I don't care for C1 but used it to correct the IR problem with the help of the profiles posted on this forum.
Philinflash Posted May 13, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 13, 2007 I find the C1 a bit alien to use and prefer Adobe Bridge for first-cut post and then go right to PS CS3. Bridge and PS work well together for me. Maybe if I used profiles available with C1 I might feel differently about it. I also prefer the screen layout options on Bridge. Finally, I am put off by the C1 implication that I need to upgrade to some superior level to get the max.
