It happened to me too: never run on wet wood even when at Le Mans :-) You need to send it for repair. It will be long and will cost some money. Nice craftmanship but magnification is indeed lower than the one I got by adapting a Nikon DK17m on the R9. I took some pictures of the viewfinder with a digital P&S and the difference is around 20%. I swear there was zero magnification in the unit, plus I couldn't adjust the diopters (my normal one is -2) to focus it correctly. But like Doug Herr said, no hassle in returning it. 11275 Posted November 15, 2006 Share #53 Posted November 15, 2006 The magnification is barely discernable and of no value to the user (not at all like the pre-release hype suggested), there is corner vignetting and it does NOT work if you need diopter adjustment. I bought 2 thinking I could use one on a film R8 but it made opening the back to change film tedious. Contact me if you woudl like to purchase it. Doesn't seem to be that much at first glance, but after installing, my ratio of 80/1.4 wide open shots that were in focus increased dramatically. Must have for the fast aperture glass IMO.
