BTW, I just received my magnifier. Nice craftmanship but magnification is indeed lower than the one I got by adapting a Nikon DK17m on the R9. I took some pictures of the viewfinder with a digital P&S and the difference is around 20%.

So, if someone is interested, I will probably sell my Brightscreen magnifier but keep the ProScreen.

Now that this device has been out - is everyone happy with this device ?

My diopter setting is minus 1 so i am a little concerned. However i do not wear glases - so i don't understand exactly what the setting means

Now that this device is out in the field, is everyone still happy with it. i do ghave a concern that my diopter is set at -1, however i do not wear glases - so this setting baffles me a bit.

should i still expect an addtional -3 needed ? does anyone have a picture of what the viewfinder looks like with the magnifier?

thanks

I sent mine back, too. I swear there was zero magnification in the unit, plus I couldn't adjust the diopters (my normal one is -2) to focus it correctly. But like Doug Herr said, no hassle in returning it.

The magnification is barely discernable and of no value to the user (not at all like the pre-release hype suggested), there is corner vignetting and it does NOT work if you need diopter adjustment.

Other than that it's great for the money and yes, refunds cheerfully given.

Just a total miss! I truley wished it had worked.
