tobey bilek Posted January 15, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 15, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am being asked to reopen the printing side of darkroom and I stumbled up Bergger film. I used to use 200 speed until it was no longer imported in the 90`s. Now all that is offered is 400 and 200 is European only. Can anyone comment on the 400? Advertisement Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Hi tobey bilek, Take a look here Bergger film. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
fotohuis Posted January 21, 2015 Share #2 Posted January 21, 2015 It is a cine type film but made on Grey tri-acetate layer. I did some tests with HC-110 dil.B (1+31) and it is reacting like Double X from Kodak. Price not too bad in the Netherlands: Eur. 4,25 each 135-36 and clearly an Ilford/Harman safety 35mm cassette and packing but without DX-code. Later this year the BRF400+ film will be available in sheet film format and 120 roll film, at least that was told by the new CEO of Bergger. Bergger BRF400+ E.I. 320 in HC-110 (. Zorki-6 and Industar-61 Zebra wide open F/2,8. Scan from fiber print (Fomabrom Variant 111). Bergger BRF400+ E.I. 320 in HC-110 (. Leica M7 + Elmarit 21mm. Bergger BRF400+ E.I. 320 in HC-110 (. Leica M7 + Elmarit 28mm + Y-filter.
fotohuis Posted January 21, 2015 Share #3 Posted January 21, 2015 Bergger Products, Inc - Film: BRF-400 However I found the developing time for HC-110 dilution B (1+31) optimum for 8:30 minutes at 20C. I am printing in Split Grade with a Dunco II 67 120 pro enlarger. Diffusion / condensor system combined. Gamma = 0,62 - 0,65 then.
