karlitos Posted May 12, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted May 12, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) As a point of interest to anyone who has a D3, i recently got hold of a 25mm 'lux. I like it a lot, very sharp indeed I do hope that the lens range carries on in this fashion 'cos it will be a very competent outfit eventually. One oddity, meta data in Capture shows a max aperture of 2.8 but will give a working aperture of 1.4/2.0 if used wider. Something foe a FW update perhaps. BTW Captue One results continue to surprise me, for anyone who hasn't tries it yet.....give it go. Â Karlitos.

MJLogan Posted May 15, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted May 15, 2007 The 25 'Lux is in stock at B&H, for $799.95. I've just ordered one, and will enjoy playing with it in Paris and London in a couple of weeks.
ron110n Posted May 16, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted May 16, 2007 Thanks for the info Michael, I ordered a lux 25 likewise. This must be the one with a Lumix front cap, cause it says Panasonic Summilux 25 D. But that's okay, mine is an L1 anyway. Â -Ron

MJLogan Posted May 17, 2007 Share #7 Â Posted May 17, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) And they're out of stock now. Either this lens is still quite rare or it's in demand!
dwcolvin Posted May 17, 2007 Share #8 Â Posted May 17, 2007 I ordered a lux 25 likewise. This must be the one with a Lumix front cap, cause it says Panasonic Summilux 25 D. Â I think there's only one 25mm, and it has a Lumix cap (and has Lumix printed on the lens body). Doesn't seem to affect lens sharpness
ron110n Posted May 18, 2007 Share #9  Posted May 18, 2007 and has Lumix printed on the lens body  Aha!!! you are right. I just checked my 14-50 Elmarit right now and it does have a Lumix printed on the lens body.  No problem, I'll just put a red dot smiley decal on the lux.  Best,  -Ron
