rousseau Posted December 31, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi There, I recently bought an "M6 0.85" from KEH, and a few things don't seem quite right. There is no ".85" on the front of the finder window as seems normal—and there don't seem to be any other framelines available other than 50/135. The frameline selector does not shift between framelines either with or without a lens attached. What do you make of this? A standard M6 with finder modifications? Some other issue? Thanks. The finder is supposed to have frames for 35+135, 50+75 and 90, and as you noted, the window should be marked '.85'. Frames for only 50 + 135 is crazy. Useless. Personally, I can't tolerate it when an expert company cannot understand what they are selling. KEH usually does not look deeply into these things. I would send it back with a firm statement. Don't burn bridges. Yet. .
rousseau Posted December 31, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted December 31, 2014 I checked it against my MP and it's actually 50/90 that's displayed now, but again no 0.85 in the front window and the preview lever doesn't work. Pretty disappointing—it's going back. I've had mixed luck with KEH—some great stuff over the years, but some dogs as well. Last year I bought a Hasselblad 501C that was cosmetically mint but would not engage the lens properly (against multiple samples). Sent it back with that info, and it was for sale again the next day on their site. Sigh.
