D-Lux 2 / Photoshop Elements questions

This might be embarrassing but...

Having timidly fiddled with post processing in the Elements package that came with my D-Lux 2, I still can't find any curves facility like all the idiots' guide digital books point me to.

Also I read that the best way to go from colour to b&w is by separately manipulating the RGB channels rather than just desaturating.

Neither of these (curves or channels) appear to be included in version of Elements.

Can any D-Lux 2 owners or other Elements users confirm or point me to how I access these tools.

Many thanks

Steve Kessel

Steve, I have Elements 4 (and did have 2), curves does not feature in our cheapskate versions. :(

Thanks Pete, I've got Elements 3. I'm thinking of going for Lightroom but I'm not clear on how it and Elements can or need to mesh, particularly with regard to RAW files. Also Lightroom seems to need a lot of computing capacity which I'm not sure I have. Seems attractive though. Steve
