The Leica Look and B&W in Lightroom

Some people that I follow and a couple I know are doing a B&W week and I wanted to participate. I'm busy today but I took my camera on the way to vote and took handful of shots. Using the T's using the BWNat Film mode.

I shot the pictures based upon the mapping of luminance that I saw on the screen and EVF. When I imported the DNGs into LR the previews were B&W but they came up in full color.

I've got the stock LR -> B&W presets and I have 2 questions:

1) Does Leica provide any LR presets which map colors in a way that the DNG files end up looking like the color profiles that the camera uses for the various Film Modes? If they do, I can't seem to find them on their web site. I figured that it would sort of be like the way that you download ICC Color profiles for a printer.

2) If Leica doesn't provide presets to map DNGs to the various Film Modes. Does anybody know which LR B&W preset most closely maps to the B&Nat Film Mode in the T.

1. No

2. No

Best get a copy of Silver Efex Pro 2 and process the DNG's that way from the plug in LR...... or just set the JPG's to best quality and use them straight from the camera.

To be honest SEP2 is by far the best option and you can have hours of harmless amusement tinkering with original DNG's ........ and produce some wonderful images ....

this is from the M ....... colour was rather uninspiring but the b&w with one of the SEP2 pre-sets + some adjustment works fine ......
