rickgrainger Posted November 4, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have looked and even Googled an answer to this, but to no avail. I thought I'd try asking here. Would CS lenses provide an advantage over the focal plane shutter on long exposures? Thanks in advance for your comments and advice. Their main advantage is flash sync at higher shutter speeds, secondary possibly eliminating vibration from mirror slap.
Guest Posted November 5, 2014 Share #3 Posted November 5, 2014 I would think no. Maybe not... as the focal plane shutter is still active the advantage is a bit diminished.... Bob

Bob Just use mirror up if you want to eliminate the effect of the mirror slap, for long exposures you would be on tripod anyway
