goatsby Posted November 1, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 1, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) So I finally pulled the trigger and picked up a T. I have been really enjoying it so far but have noticed that the start-up time is a bit slow (±3 sec.), even slower than my good old X1. I just installed the 1.2 update and see no real improvement. I'm using the M-T adapter at this time as I'm waiting for the 18-56 to come in, could that be it? Is there a setting I can change? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thank you, AG

pico Posted November 1, 2014 Share #2 Posted November 1, 2014 Try a different SD card and/or format the card in the T.
barjohn Posted November 2, 2014 Share #3 Posted November 2, 2014 It'll be a little faster but still slow.
bencoyote Posted November 4, 2014 Share #4 Posted November 4, 2014 I agree it is too slow. I'm hoping that Leica understands this and is working on it for 1.3. They have 3-4 areas where their firmware needs to be optimized: 1) Time for initial boot 3s is too long. 2) Time to wake up after going to sleep ~2s 3) Time to switch from screen to EVF ~1.5s and maybe: 4) Time to acquire position location when using the EVF. Many times software development progresses by make it work, make it work right i.e. fix bugs, then make it fast. So I hope Leica's firmware engineers are already working on these problems. pico Posted November 4, 2014 Share #5 Posted November 4, 2014 Three seconds is too slow? You must live in the very near future or something! Maybe our contributors can show how upon a walk-about three seconds is significant. No Viagra comments, please, Three seconds being critical is nutz.
