Hi guys,

OK, a long, long story... my old computer died recently... losing me CS3.... So to convert RAW files from the dlux3 i am trying to use the bundled photoshop elements 3.0.

However, it doesn't have a RAW driver for the dlux3. Originally i seem to remember downloading a plug-in from teh leica site... but now no such plug-in exists.

So essentially i am screwed I think!

Can anyone offer me assistance here.

Oh, and I have two macs; an imac 24" operating on 10.4.9 and an ibook G4 using 10.3.9.

The latter had to be re-installed losing me the 10.4.0 download i'd used as well cs3. Guess where the product codes were kept? Yup. I lost them too.

Anyway... any help appreciated-

Andy

Andy - Perhaps as a stop-gap measure, you could download the latest version of Google's Picasa. It now reads the D-Lux 3 RAW files correctly and would allow you to do some basic RAW processing until you figure out a more permanent solution with PS.

Thanks Gordon,

Actually i've just managed to find the camera raw 3.6 download from Adobe's site which supports the dlux3 for PSE 3.0. This works just fine...

Again thankyou for posting.

Best wishes-

Andy

Andy,

You can download the free RAW converter update from the Adobe website. Follow the instructions to remove the old RAW8bi file and then drag the new one in off your desktop. It is quite straight forward. This has to be done even with Elements 4 that is supplied with the D-Lux3. Same applies for V-Lux and D3

Karlitos.
