Received the mount ring from Mr. J.M. today (great machining job!!!), did a little bit of "painting" and than replaced the mount on the lens. Now this lens has Leica UV/IR filter on and the proper frame lines (24mm instead original 28mm) when mounted (the original ring was replaced with 35/24 ring from Zeiss). The ring has a machined/painted code of Leica 24mm lens. It is differet from the specs on this list Leica M8 Lens Codes simply because the 35mm mounting ring requires focal lenght of 35/24 - not 28mm lens in order to "see" coding. I tried 28mm lens coding but in order for camera to implement this action, frame selector has to be manualy pushed to 28 frame lines. I did not like this, so decided to go with 24mm Leica code setting. Test ing to follow tomorrow.... P.S. the "problematic" screw was not a problem after all.
