allamande Posted October 18, 2014 Share #21  Posted October 18, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I enjoyed reading through this discussion and the lovely images. This is a favorite plant/flower of mine, I have several colors growing in my backyard.  I think the debate is quite interesting and with no definitive conclusion for all the reasons already stated. I love film but it is just too inconvenient and time consuming these days. And I have huge issues with scanning. Despite all that, I still shoot 35mm and medium format, and then spend hours struggling with various scanning software to find the "correct" representation of my negatives in digital form.  In the example pair above, to my eyes the film image looks off because it has a blueish cast (at least, on my monitor). The M8 image looks much closer to the color of the flowers I have in my garden.  Either way, they are both gorgeous images and I enjoy each on its own terms  Thank you, Henry, for posting these.  Ece
