kadamjames Posted October 7, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Greetings, I've updated my Typ 006 firmware to 2.4.1.0, but only the Instructions for the Firmware Update S Lenses LLF018 seem to be posted. My camera helpfully reminds me now that "Lens Firmware Update Available." But again, only the instructions for the lens firmware are available when I log into Member's Area, and not the LEICA_S_LENSES_018.llf file itself, which the instructions call for. Does Leica sometimes lag with one part of a firmware update like this, or is something amiss with my access? Thanks, JIm

John McMaster Posted October 8, 2014 Share #2 Posted October 8, 2014 It and the S(006) 2.4.0.0 were both pulled (for some reason) after release, 2.4.1.0 has since been released but no updated lens firmware. I thought the S(006) firmware could update the lenses? john

JerryYordy Posted October 9, 2014 Share #4 Posted October 9, 2014 The file of directions for updating lens firmware is there. I've tried to attach it. The lens firmware itself is in the camera body firmware update (2.4.1.0). So, you already have it. All you need to do is: 1. turn off the camera, 2. attach a lens, 3. push the joystick button in, 4. while holding the joystick button in, turn on the camera, 5. keep the joystick button pressed in until you get a notice about not removing the battery, 6. there will be a notice when the updating is complete, 7. turn off the camera, replace lens, and repeat.
