lars_bergquist Posted May 29, 2007 Share #21 Posted May 29, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yes, and I think it is a much better finder, optically, than the CV 15mm finder. This is not one of Leica's most brilliant products. First, the outer parts of the field are quite fuzzy. Second, there is no clear limitation of the field. Third, the view (and the limits, as they are) is extremely dependent on how you hold your eye, this as it seems because of an overly large exit pupil. All this makes it very difficult to level the camera too! I use the CV finder, and would never consider the three-lens finder. Advertisement Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Hi lars_bergquist, Take a look here Leica 21-24-28 viewfinder or CV 21mm VF for CV15mm. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
robsteve Posted May 29, 2007 Share #22 Posted May 29, 2007 The original Leica 21mm finder is probably the best of the batch. It seems to frame the 15mm almost perfecly. I would avoid the 21-28mm finder, It is not a brightline and the eye point is not that great. In the 21mm setting it is hard to see the whole frame when wearing glasses. Chuck Hatcher Posted May 29, 2007 Share #23 Posted May 29, 2007 This is not one of Leica's most brilliant products... I was referring to the CV 21 finder as compared to the CV 15 finder (sorry for the confusion). I have no experience with either Leica finder.
