Monochrom/M240 and lens competability

Hello,

I hope someone can assist me with this question.

in the July 2014 issue of the LFI Magazine, on page 54-55 there is an article on Ralph Gibson and his use of a leica 50mm Summicron F2 Dual Range lens on a Leica Monochrom body.

I also own a Monochrom as well as a leica M 240 body.

I looked at a Summicron dual rage that a friend has for sale, but I noticed that regardless of which body I put the lens on, the lens will not focus to infinity.

Does the lens have to be modified to work on the Monochrom or the M240? Can this be done by Leica service?

Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

PS; I did leave several messages to Leica USA ‘s customer service, and sent an email to them as well, but sadly Leica USA’s customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

UPDATE; Today I, finally spoke to someone at Leica USA repairs, and according to them this is impossible to do. Now I know that Mr. Ralph Gibson is a Leica Ambassador and I am pretty sure, correct me if I am wrong, the Leica probably supplied him with the Monochrom camera, and probably modified the lens for him as well?

Thanks
