jtharvie Posted July 29, 2006 Share #1 Posted July 29, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Every year the Royal Winnipeg Ballet puts on a performance of select pas de dix, pas de quatre and pas de deux using the students and the company. Sorry didn't get there early enought to get a good seat / photo angle. Took these from the side and quickly sat down so as not to disturb all the bright eyed kids just marveling at the dancers. This is what make the -40 C all worthwhile. LC-1 / RAW / slight highlights and contrast in PS /. Second photo is a cropped down to highlight the dancers. Not the best of photos but it gives me an idea of what I can and can't do with the LC-1.
Advertisement Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Hi jtharvie, Take a look here Ballet in the Park. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
abrewer Posted July 29, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 29, 2006 Very nicely done, John. Number two is the more successful, IMO, for obvious reasons of proximity but the first shot is a grand establishing shot. I wish there was more culture like this, more refined culture that is, around where I live. Thanks. Allan
