Sorry to be asking this question but I have tried to follow instruction, but they don't seem to work. I have a mac. My files are RAW files, so of the order of 50Mb. How do I get them into a size to upload them to the site? I think I can manage it from there- I hope.

Hi David

You need to convert the RAW files to jpgs, make sure that they are no bigger than 930 pixels either side and no more than around 235 kb.

Then, use the buttons on the posts to upload the images direct to this server.

This thread will help too

Good luck!

I use photoshop elements I can't seem to save it as a JPEG. There is an option to save the file as JPEG 2000, but the file size remains the same. How do I resize the file to the size suggested?

Firstly you need to resize the image - there should be something under the Edit menu

Set the dpi to 72 and the image size to about 800 max

You also need to make sure that the Image is 8-bit colour depth (if Elements uses 16 bit files - I don't know, it's years since I used it). An option to do this will also probably be under the Edit menu, or one of its sub-menus.

Does Elements have a "Save for web" option under the file menu? If so, this will allow you to resize and save as a jpg of the correct file size all in one window
