ernesto69 Posted September 13, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 13, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, i got a new M8 one week ago and i am in trouble trying to set up camera. In details: usually I proceed programming the camera through the main menu...bw , sharpening, ...then moving to shots menu for iso, compensation and dng for instance... according to the instructions i should then save the profile at the main menu but now the previous setting are no more saved. Similarly if i program the camera through the main menu it seems to me that shots are possible in jpeg only because changing the shots menu all settings at mien menu are no more applicable. there would be someone the can help me? grazie Mario

wda Posted September 13, 2014 Share #2 Posted September 13, 2014 ernesto, welcome to the forum! When you have set your desired parameters, go to the menu and select SAVE USER PROFILE. Next, press SET and choose one of the three settings. Make a note of your choice. If you then wish to make another profile, repeat the procedure but make sure you choose an unused setting or be aware of deliberate overwriting. I keep a little note in my camera bag to remind me of my settings. On the M9 you can actually give each setting a name. Much better. But profiles are highly valuable aids to consistent shooting.
