biogon44 Posted September 6, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 6, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I want to report successful use of my Leitz Canada Elcan 6 inch f2.8 lens on my Sony a7R camera body. Using a custom-made aluminium focussing unit with a Oympus Pen F mount attached, I was able to add a Pen F-to-Sony E mount adapter and put the lens with this adapter on my Sony full-frame a7R camera body. I am able to obtain sharp images from near distance to infinity. It is gratifying to be able now to utilise this lens which originally cost me US$25 to buy in mint condition many years ago. Although the focussing mount with custom lens hood did cost me several hundred dollars when fabricated for me many years ago, I am happy to have resurrected this lens from practical optical oblivion and able to use it on a full frame digital camera presently.
