jonoslack Posted August 28, 2014 Share #1  Posted August 28, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi There - this is slightly different. Bart de Vries usually known as Knorp, who lives in Amsterdam, has had his house burgled, and, very sadly, the following items were stolen. He is a lovely guy and doesn't deserve to lose all this lovely kit.  It makes my heart bleed to read it - if you are offered any of these items, or see them, or anything. Please get in touch with me and I'll pass on the information. Or else the police  LEICA M9 (P upgrade) (S) S/N: 3908077 LEICA MP (.85) (S) S/N: 2983160  LEICA ELMARIT-M 1:2,8/21 mm ASPH. Jeff S Posted August 28, 2014 Share #4 Â Posted August 28, 2014 Yikes, my sympathy. Â While it won't make up for the unsettling circumstances and unfortunate loss, in many ways beyond monetary, I hope Bart carried personal insurance. Stories like this should be a reminder for any who don't. Â Jeff
tookaphotoof Posted August 28, 2014 Share #5 Â Posted August 28, 2014 That's sorry to hear. And indeed I hope he's insured.
rramesh Posted August 29, 2014 Share #6 Â Posted August 29, 2014 So sorry to hear this. It would be good if this site could maintain an online searchable database of stolen items and serial numbers. That way anyone who is buying a resale item can first check against this list.

sanyasi Posted August 29, 2014 Share #8 Â Posted August 29, 2014 So sorry to hear this. It would be good if this site could maintain an online searchable database of stolen items and serial numbers. That way anyone who is buying a resale item can first check against this list. Â And reputable dealers who buy used equipment could check, too.
