adrianw Posted August 9, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 9, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Seeing the heading zoom factor got me to writing. I have an 80-200 f4 Canon L lens which I know to be excellent and a Novoflex converter to enable use on the M. If it is important, how to do I cheat and tell the camera I have an R lens fitted so I can manually select the R 80-200 profile?
Advertisement Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Hi adrianw, Take a look here zooming. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
JohnJWhite Posted August 9, 2014 Share #2 Posted August 9, 2014 I don't know. But you don't need a profile. The profiles are only useful with wide angle lenses.

If you have the Novoflex converter coded as an R to M adapter that should bring up the R lens menu. I think hand coding works quite well.
bocaburger Posted August 11, 2014 Share #4 Posted August 11, 2014 I asked once and IIRC was told the R menu merely imparts EXIF info but does not apply any corrections. How does your adapter allow control of the aperture in the Canon lenses? They have no aperture ring. Does the adapter have a battery to electronically set the aperture?
