acielpete Posted August 9, 2014 Share #1 Â Posted August 9, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) just ordered a Noctilux .95 and would like the Heliopan 60mm variable slim fit ND filter. I am now located in southern France, but of course I can order from anywhere in Europe, but can't find site that seems to have this filter. thanks Peter

spylaw4 Posted August 9, 2014 Share #2 Â Posted August 9, 2014 Looks like (all the Leica sizes) it's special order only, but at least it would be available from: Heliopan Variable ND Filter (Slim Fit) - Photographic Retailer in London, Ship Worldwide! | Teamwork Digital

I could buy it from BH photo from stock, but I expect I would have to pay the Euro tax on top of the US price. but maybe a small item like that does not get charged? peter
Ivar B Posted August 9, 2014 Share #4  Posted August 9, 2014 Heliopan states on their web Heliopan Lichtfilter-TechnikHeliopan Lichtfilter-Technik | Qualität seit 1949 | Qualität seit 1949 that if you are unable to find a dealer locally, you are welcome to order directly from them.  I know their customer service to be excellent. albireo_double Posted August 9, 2014 Share #5 Â Posted August 9, 2014 I buy Heliopan filters at Foto Mayr in Germany. They have a good range in stock and deliver quickly. Â Filter bei Foto Mayr
acielpete Posted August 9, 2014 Author Share #6 Â Posted August 9, 2014 Foto Mayer and Heliopan seem to make it as difficult as possible for someone outside Germany to order from them. surely there is a more user friendly site that carries these filters in Europe. also seems that if I order from the US they will not only be more expensive, but also they apparently have a newer model in Europe. algrove Posted August 10, 2014 Share #9 Â Posted August 10, 2014 You mention a "thin" Heliopan VND filter. To me it is not thin.
henning Posted August 10, 2014 Share #10 Â Posted August 10, 2014 I've also had excellent service from Foto Mayr. I'm located in Vancouver, BC and I ordered all my Heliopan IR/UV filters through them when I used M8"s. My transactions at the time were all through email, but the response was excellent. acielpete Posted August 11, 2014 Author Share #11 Â Posted August 11, 2014 You mention a "thin" Heliopan VND filter. To me it is not thin. they have two types, one is slim as it does not have a thread on the outside.
