Turns out the lens is identified as "Apo-Summicron-M 1:2/50 ASPH" in photos taken with M240, and "Leica Apo-Summicron-M 50mm/f2 ASPH." This exact thing was bugging me like crazy so I wrote a shell script to use ExifTool to sanitize metadata. If you're interested, I can give you a copy.
