jhawker Posted May 3, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 3, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all. I am writung to inquire if any of you have experienced the shutter recocking multiple times after an exposure? This may go on for as little as 1 second to as much as 5-10 seconds. It will continue after turning the power off also. While it is occuring no additional exposures can be made. My camera is number 3105xxx. I have upgraded to 1.102 and installed it a second time. Although it did this with both previous firmware versions and continues today. While the camera does not fail to record the exposure that starts the multiple cocking to the card it is becoming a nuisance. Is there something I may be doing to cause this? Thanks in advance for your attention. JH

Photoskeptic Posted May 3, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 3, 2007 James, I experienced something similar but it was when I had the frame dial set on "c" for continuous and I let my finger stay too long on the shutter release. Simply moving the dial back to "s" took care of it. This may not be anything remotely like what you are experiencing so good luck.
masters Posted May 3, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 3, 2007 The same thing happened with my camera. Iwas able to take it back to the shop I had bought it from and show them what was happening as it was happening. The camera was sent back to New Jersey and Leica decided to replace the camera. This happened to me before the latest firmware update. I would talk to your dealer and see what they say. charles
