Lee Martin Posted July 13, 2014 Share #22 Â Posted July 13, 2014 Have a look at this , the "incase Marcopoulos " bag. Certainly the best design should you be on your motorbike with the tensioning and releasing strap. Great materials with some additional waterproofing from the built in rain cover, also an ideal size for hand luggage on aircraft. Loads of space for extras like iPads/Mac books, phones, cables etc, and doesn't immediately look like a camera bag unlike the Billingham bags. Jeff S Posted July 14, 2014 Share #23  Posted July 14, 2014 Nobody has mentioned the B-Laika........  You mean other than me….the one I said I've had for over 25 years? (I think it might have been only 22 years. It was smaller back then, when they were built for film Ms.)  BTW, it's written with no caps….after bee, one of the Fogg owners, who writes her name with small case letters. Quirky little company.  Jeff
efreed2754 Posted July 14, 2014 Share #24  Posted July 14, 2014 Nobody has mentioned the B-Laika........just looked at the Steve Huff videoAny comments  Really find the b minor is wonderful all around bag. It's smallish but capable of holding so much. B Major is much larger and better if have small PC or iPad or want to carry lots of gear including R lenses.  Find b minor much better than b laika as usually have one body and five lenses. Depends on how much gear you want to carry. Best to go to a store and look any bag over.
Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted July 16, 2014 Share #25  Posted July 16, 2014 I didn’t realize that getting a bag online could be that much hassle. I looked at the Fogg no stock, I looked at the ONA Berlin.....don’t make it any more so I am thinking of getting this ONA The Brooklyn Shoulder Bag (Chestnut) http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/827144-REG/ONA_Designs_ONA007BR_The_Brooklyn_Shoulder_Bag.html But I need it today as I will have it hand carried to Nigeria for me from the US so just wondering if anyone on here has tried this bag............it would also come in handy for days when I want to take the D800 and Otus out

Check site.  Jeff Thanks Jeff I just ordered a Billigam Hanly pro from B&W and had it sent to my mate in the US and he will hand carry it for me to Nigeria next week. I got an email from the Fogg dealer in Singapore 3 days ago saying he only had a b major and 15 minutes after ordering the Haley Pro I got an email saying he now has new stock and has a b-leika (sods law). So I may pop down to Singapore and take a look at that when I get home…………………….but I am excited that I have the haley pro
Jeff S Posted July 17, 2014 Share #28  Posted July 17, 2014 I just ordered a Billigam Hanly pro ….after ordering the Haley Pro… ...and has a b-leika...  If you're going to own them, you may want to be able to spell them….Hadley, b-laika.  More seriously, these are very different bags, both materials and size; you'll see if you try them, which is the only way to judge. The b-laika is significantly more compact (although mine is older and a bit smaller than the current version).  The Hadley, as you may know, comes in two materials; I own the somewhat lighter and (supposedly) more weather resistant FibreNyte.  Jeff

Jeff S Posted July 17, 2014 Share #30  Posted July 17, 2014 Jeff I just got this from another forum...............the forte looks fantastic  This site provides some decent descriptions.  But, I bought my Fogg many years ago and just noticed the current (US) prices. $869 for the Forte….you've got to be kidding. I wouldn't buy ANY bag for that…mine were expensive enough at under half. It's just a bag to carry stuff.  I also wouldn't buy without comparing in person….either in a shop or with return policy…using my own gear.  Whatever floats your boat.  Jeff

thighslapper Posted July 20, 2014 Share #32  Posted July 20, 2014 maybe too late ...... but the Dothebag Mono 6 will do ....... and there is a size up which is roomier. they age well and don't look obviously 'camera bag'ish' ......  »dothebag« mono_06 - Shop - Monochrom  I have filled mine with your combo (as near as I can manage) ....  This is HEAVY ..... even with the 90/2.8 and Tr-Elmar substituting for the 90 apo and 21..... Much as I love the nocti it would be either /or with the apo 50/2...  I employed some surgery on the partitions to get this ....... but now tend to take an M plus XV or T ..... then there is plenty of space.  You need a tidy mind to get all this in though ........ as the photos show..... and stiil room for phone, wallet, iPad Mini....... thighslapper Posted July 20, 2014 Share #33  Posted July 20, 2014 with one camera out it gets a lot easier ........  ..... and you can just manage with one with the lens on too......  the Luigi cases and straps tend to be a bit like spaghetti .....  I have a smaller Mono 7 for travelling with one body and fewer lenses .....  best of luck Neil ....... whatever you get it will not be perfect and you will be forever hunting for the 'right' one .....  Steve Welcome, dear visitor! Three Legged Cat Posted July 21, 2014 Share #34 Â Posted July 21, 2014 Last Summer I managed to acquire a Fogg 'e-flat' from Robert White in the UK, which is pretty cavernous - It'll swallow at least one M240 (leather case + 35 or 50 attached), 4/5 lenses, a 15" Macbook Pro in the front, an iPad in back, filters, laptop/battery chargers, etc. etc. - I think it should easily take two Ms, but I only have one, sadly.. Â Originally I wanted the 'B-Laika', but after communing with Nigel and bee (the lovely people behind Fogg bags..) I realised stock is likely to remain very limited, so I took what I could, and I've been very glad that I did. Despite being quite expensive, it is exceptionally well made, and I expect to have it for many years. Â For info, I also have the much much smaller 'Soprano', which with a bit of 'Tetris'-like manoeuvring will take my M240 still in it's Angelo Pelle case with 35Cron attached, a 75Cron and 21SEM, a spare battery, EVF, and a few filters - what I thought made for an incredibly compact travel kit. Â Hope this helps...
Guest Benqui Posted July 22, 2014 Share #35  Posted July 22, 2014 Give the new Filson Magnum Messenger bag a try. The quality is perfect, it has enough space for two bodies with glasses . I have tested it during my holidays and I will never give it away. The most important Thing to me is that nobody knows that there is photo equipment inside, the bag is really understatement  here you find some photos:   http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-kundenforum/339762-beckers-lieblingsoutfitter.html#post2742309   best regards  Marc
rramesh Posted July 25, 2014 Share #36 Â Posted July 25, 2014 2 bodies with lenses attached and 2 spare lenses. A Hadley Pro will work but just about. You wouldn't want to cram any more.
sanyasi Posted July 25, 2014 Share #37 Â Posted July 25, 2014 I finally took a look at the Fogg and some of the other bags discussed here. I am a bit surprised. Many of these bags are beautiful, but this forum has numerous posts about how to remove the Red Dot and otherwise lower the profile of an expensive camera, I don't quite understand the popularity of the expensive bags that scream "Expensive camera bag with expensive camera inside." Â My Fogg b-laika and Lyre are entirely black, small, no logos, extremely well worn and don't 'scream' anything. The bigger, multi-color bags are another matter. I got mine for the functionality, not the looks. And I rarely use the bags other than for transport, not actual shooting unless weather dictates. Â In any event, it's more often the photographer doing the 'shouting', not the bag or the gear. I replaced an M red dot for a black one, having nothing to do with a 'lower profile'; I just prefer the look. Â Jeff

My tan Fogg B Minor is about 15 years old and doesn't look fancy. But boy/girl does it work well. And the strap is very strong to resist a quick knife cut. Even new B Major in black doesn't look fancy. Have traveled throughout Europe for 2-4 weeks per year for five years and trip to Japan and China in 2006 and never a problem (touch wood).  The Fogg money goes into quality and longevity, not bling. Never got any comments on my bags but do get a number of comments on the M 240 -- mostly wondering what it is, not that it's expensive. A very few recognize it as a special or nice camera but doubt they know the cost which of course is diminished by the value of lenses I carry. Â I agree with the other comments here re. the Fogg Bags. I think the Fogg website really does justice to the bags in showing how attractive they are in stylised photo shoots - but actually in use they aren't particularly 'Bling'. Â As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have an 'e-flat' and a 'soprano' - both in a very 'Billingham' beige and dark brown leather combination, and I must say that they don't really stand out much when in the company of other camera bags. I could easily have gone for a similar-sized Billingham bag instead, but was attracted by the 'hand-made' quality and attention to detail that goes into a Fogg bag - perhaps the same kind of attraction that drew me to Leica also?...
