planner Posted July 8, 2014 Share #1 Â Posted July 8, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently took delivery of a very nice R7 body plus "it's presentation case" from a trusted seller. Actually the case was wrapped separately and addressed, unopened, to him. When I opened it sure enough it was labeled "Leica R" inside but the lower red plush part did not nearly fit the shape or size of the R7 and the box would not nearly close with it inside. It seems that this part was for another Leica camera - maybe an M6 - and that what I need is a replacement for this part. But then I googled and saw exactly the same case with exactly the same lower section as mine. Another possible explanation is that the case is for another R body but the earlier models seem very similar in size and shape to the R7.

Perhaps the presentation case is for R4 - R6.
planner Posted July 9, 2014 Author Share #3 Â Posted July 9, 2014 Thanks, I kept checking and it seems like the box was for an R4 or R4s. Danged if I can find a box that fits the R7.
