jip Posted June 28, 2014 Share #1 Posted June 28, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello guys, I've bought my M soon after it came out, but I recently bought a M with my boyfriend for him... When I had both in my hand and pressed the [info] button (to check if the correct lenses were selected (for non 6bit lenses)) I noticed that the colours of the new M were much darker and much more contrasty, and the green from the battery bar etc was really green while on my M it was more like some faded sorta green... Now I don't really care... because I don't use the screen apart from looking at the settings and diagram. But I do wonder why, or how... might it be that my screen is more used, and lost it's colours? Or that Leica changed the typ of screen to a newer typ. imperfiction Posted June 28, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 28, 2014 Hi Jip, I think I've read somewhere here that there were some small differences in the screens between the first and later batches - even some claimed that the screens were a little warmer in their colour rendition. 01af Posted June 28, 2014 Share #4 Posted June 28, 2014 A couple of months ago, someone reported the same thing—different colour renditions on the displays of older and newer M samples.
