A miller Posted December 29, 2014 Author Share #21 Â Posted December 29, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Carlos - The only way you can safely use this lens on any digital M is to have it "neutered." This circumcision of sorts will kill the macro-focusing range, and IMO, kill the lens.

Rick Posted December 30, 2014 Share #23  Posted December 30, 2014 In 2012 I bought this lens and had the NF helicoid machined off by DAG so it would fit into the M240. I assumed the new M240 would be CMOS and would have LV. Well, it did have LV and the DR became a usable lens without jamming the mount on the new M240 (no need for the goggles). It is just a fantastic lens and the LV allows the use of the lens on the M240 at both ranges.  Also, I had the mount coded by DAG for 2/50 011110 (blk-white-white-white-white-blk) because I liked the color correction from that coding the best for this lens.  Also, bought an OUFRO for it to get even more near focus.  This is a really nice lens out of the old Leica play book. You can read more about it in this current thread: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m-lenses/358103-just-bought-75-lux-2.html or this old thread: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-collectors-historica/224666-dual-range-summicron.html  Rick
