More on Hong Kong "Gift Six" Operating on e-Bay

Some of you may remember these posts from over the last six months regarding an e-Bay company operating out of Hong Kong under the name of “Gift Six”:

Today I received a personal email from Scott Serrata, who’s not a member of this Forum, but saw the entry I made to Photo.net’s feedback regarding the company.

 

Here’s what Scott had to say, in its entirety:

 

“I saw your post on PN and just posted my experience…just thought I would send it to you directly. I don't normally look at the Leica forums, I was searching for anything about Giftsix.”

Hi, yes, I am in the middle of a similar problem with "Giftsix" AKA Global Express AKA M2688 in Hong Kong. I won an auction on EBay for a new Mamiya 7II body for around $1200 and sent them the money via wire.

The seller does not respond to numerous emails asking them for status on the order. I sent them a wire transfer to their bank in HK, Hang Seng bank. This was about a week ago.

I will wait a bit more and then maybe start the dispute process thru EBay. Their rating on Ebay looks very good so they can't be screwing everyone.

Web searches for a phone/fax # for this business in HK turn up nothing, perhaps it is operating under a different name. searches of PN under "HK camera shops" brings up a lot of old probably outdated information.
