Exposure with M lenses

I just got my T with M adapter and I am experimenting a bit with nailing exposure, using a 35 Summlux FLE. Especially in strong light, I find A mode to overexpose up to 3 stops, M mode recommends the same exposure as A defined as one white bar in the center. When I shoot manual I get best exposure when the bars going down to -3 EVF turn white from red.

I have tried different ISO settings, mostly 100, I use multi-field metering, no exposure compensation. It seems to be worse on more open apertures, but I can't really nail the problem.

Anybody else experimenting with this who can enlighten me?

Unfortunately I don't have a T lens for reference.
