nelly Posted July 6, 2014 Share #21 Β Posted July 6, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I picked up a Voigtlander Nokton 50 1.1 for a fraction of the price of a Noctilux Maybe I got lucky as my lens works flawlessly and I know some of these lenses had issues But after reading your post about a New Noctilux. For a Ten Grand lens you would think Leica could spend a little more time checking these lenses in quality control I have a 35mm 1.4 FLE lens that has had to go back to Leica a number of times to get it performing correctly. A loose aperture ring which was supposedly as Leica intended but slipped out of position continually also a slight back focus. All problems were corrected but for the price of these lenses I think Leica could do a lot better.
Advertisement Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Hi nelly, Take a look here My brand new Noctilux 0.95 - back focus issue. Advice?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Surge Posted March 25, 2017 Share #22 Β Posted March 25, 2017 I just bought a new Noctilux 0.95. Perhaps I got lucky, but focus is not an issue at all, with my M240. I did not have them calibrated. It focuses perfectly. I shot this while walking, about one hour after buying it (and I'm an amateur and have never held a noctilux before).
