Leica discriminating between outlets?

I checked with a dealer here in Singapore (Gope's) about availability if the Leica T and he told me that dealers other than the Leica Store will only get a supply in June - a week or two after the Leica Store. I'm not sure if Leica actually owns the local Leica Store of if it's some kind of franchise deal but it sounds like an unfair policy.

Has anyone else heard of a similar thing going on?

I think it's a normal Leica allocation arrangement (with the difference being that they actually have some stock, this time).

For example, we don't have a Leica Store down here, but we do have dealers who handle more Leica stock than others. The entire country allocation of the first two shipments here have been pre-sold (don't know how many there are). So, I'm not surprised that dealers in a place like Singapore have no allocation until the June shipment.

Then again, there are some here who say the camera won't sell and is a market dud, so you might get your camera sooner :D

To add to data on supplies and sales: I'm in Florence, and came across the Leica shop. They said they'd had 8, but all had sold already. I was there at 2pm. I don't know if they were pre-orders or passing trade (some of whom, in Florence, are likely to have a few thousand euros spare).
